Hello I am Stefanie! I am a licensed Professional Counselor, National Certified Counselor, and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. I am a 2009 graduate of Webster University with a Master of Arts degree in Mental Health Counseling. As a military spouse, I have been able to view mental health through many different lenses while living in 4 different states and being licensed in those states over the past 11 years. I have worked in intensive in-home services, school based services, CCBYS, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient services. I am currently employed at Southwood Hospital’s Sexual Maladaptive Program as the Clinical Supervisor and as a therapist. I believe that counseling is a process where one can gain insight into their lives and find growth. I strive to provide a safe space where one can unpack their struggles, stressors, shame, and guilt while learning they do not have to be victims but survivors indeed!
I believe that having a therapeutic relationship consists of good rapport, trust, and humor in the right moments! The counseling process is a journey with-in itself, so be patient with yourself and allow some time to seize the day. I am here to help you reach your goals and gain control here at Challenge and Change Counseling LLC!
